On October 13, 2025, bureaucrats, policymakers, academicians, development professionals, and enthusiasts from all over the world have joined a webinar recognizing that mercury is a hidden threat in the skin-care and beauty routine of millions.

The Pre-COP-6 Minamata Convention Webinar was organized to evaluate progress since last year, strengthen legal frameworks, enhance enforcement capacity, and promote inter-stakeholder engagement.

The wholehearted participation by Dr. Fahmida Khanom (MoFCC), Ms. Elena Lymberidi-Settimo (European Environmental Bureau), Mr. Gilbert Kuepouo (CREPD), Mr. Eisaku Toda (Secretariat of the Minamata Convention), along with the board members of ESDO, made the event even more memorable.
