Press Briefing on “Colors of Concern: Assessing Lead in Paints and Progress Toward a Lead-safe Bangladesh

As part of observing the International Lead Poisoning Prevention Week, ESDO launched an investigative study titled “Colors of Concern: Assessing Lead in Paints and Progress Toward a Lead-Safe Bangladesh”. The study was conducted with the goal of evaluating the success of the existing law against lead in paints and noting the areas of improvement.

The briefing was attended by government officials, media, and industry representatives to demonstrate their collective commitment to create a Lead-free Bangladesh.

Syed Marghub Murshed, Chairman of ESDO, Dr. Shahriar Hossain, Senior Technical Advisor of ESDO, Siddika Sultana, Executive Director of ESDO, Prof. Dr. Abul Hashem Sir, Senior Technical Advisor, ESDO, Khodeja Khatoon, Director (Chemical wing), BSTI and Mahbub Kabir Milon, Former Additional Secretary, Govt. of Bangladesh shared their valuable insights to map out a bright and toxin-free future.
